St Louis Park to Wayzata Bar and Grill
DATE AND TIME OF RIDE: Saturday, August 12, 2023, 9:00 AM beginning the ride at 9:15 AM.

DISTANCE: 40 miles
START LOCATION: 2842 Salem Ave, St Louis Park, MN 55416 (note: Google says is Minneapolis)
(just off Hwy 100 and Minnetonka Blvd).
RIDE DESCRIPTION AND DIFFICULTY: We will ride from St Louis Park to Hopkins to the Minnetonka Trail to Excelsior, Wayzata, Theodore Wirth Park and back to St Louis Park. There is one short steep hill in Wayzata after lunch.
St Louis Park to Hopkins (either side roads or the Greenway - depending on availability).
Hopkins to Excelsior via the Minnetonka Trail.
Heading west on the trail to Hwy 19 (Manitou Rd).
We head north on 19 ( It has a good shoulder) to the Dakota Rail Trail.
The trail takes us to Wayzata and we arrive at the Wayzata Bar and Grill for lunch.
After lunch we will proceed to the Luce Line Trail and wind our way to Theodore Wirth Park.
We'll then swing south along Theodore Wirth Pkwy to the Cedar Lake Trail and return to our starting point.
Note that the Minnetonka Trail and Luce Line Trail have limestone sections that are well maintained.
