Door County Century Bike Ride

September 11, 2022

We call it “The Big Ride” because it truly is!
The DCC is the original century distance cycling event welcoming 3,000 riders each year to the scenic Door County peninsula. It’s been imitated, but never duplicated.
The Door County Century is not a race. All participants ride at their own pace taking on the route in a safe and responsible manner. You may choose to ride any of our four course lengths: 30, 50, 70 or 100 miles with your paid registration. Because we want you to be happy and in control of your day in the saddle, choose your route anytime…even after you’re already out on the road!

42 Years of Cycling History!
Door County is a cycling paradise. Scenic back roads blanket a peninsula with over 300 miles of scenic shoreline, limestone bluffs, and an endless array of quaint gift shops, restaurants and lodging options. Known for its many cherry and apple orchards, scenic vistas, and unique evening sunsets, the Door Peninsula is commonly referred to by visitors as “the Cape Cod of the Midwest.” It’s no wonder that the Door County Century ride became a yearly pilgrimage for thousands of riders from all over the United States and abroad.

The Door County Century was founded in 1979 by members of the Bay Shore Bicycle Club in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The ride was a labor of love for the Green Bay club, truly exemplifying what we consider these days a grass-roots event.

Mankato River Ramble

TCTC Meet Up at Mankato River Ramble (10/9/22)
Scenic river valley trails! Homemade pie! Live music! The Mankato River Ramble is a fun ride organized by the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota. The ride draws 2,000 riders and volunteers, so we will meet up first at Tandem Bagels, 200 E Walnut St., in downtown Mankato. From there, we are a short 15-minute bike ride away from the Mankato River Ramble ride start at the Land of Memories Park. We will gather at Tandem Bagels from 7:45-8:15 a.m, then leave on our bikes at 8:15 a.m. to bike to Land of Memories Park. We will arrive at Land of Memories at 8:30 a.m., pick up our wrist-bands, then start together at about 8:45 a.m. The ride offers a choice of 12, 26 or 42 mile routes. Your ride hosts, Steve Share and Ronna Rochell, plan to ride the 42 mile route.

Wear your TCTC jersey if you have one!
